What is Emotional Freedom Technique?
EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique Tapping is a form of acupressure based on the same energy points used in traditional Chinese acupuncture, however no needles are used. I will show you how to tap specific acupressure points and use psychology techniques to calm down your nervous system and rewire your brain, creating new pathways and a new reality for you.
It is ideal for Personal Development and Self-Care. It is often referred to “emotional acupuncture without the needles”. It has been shown to “switch off” the fight or flight response within minutes, reducing the feelings and sensations of fear, anxiety or even anger that commonly arise when a person thinks about something stressful or upsetting. It uses the connection between your bodies subtle energies, your emotions and your subconscious to bring about transformation and to go forward in life in positive ways.
EFT involves you tapping on key acupuncture points on the hands, face and chest. The client voices how they are feeling and releases any areas of discomfort in the body in order to clear blockages from a person’s bioenergy system. It restores balance in the body leaving you feeling relaxed and positive.
It has been used successfully with Veterans suffering with PTSD where Emotional Freedom Techniques tapping has been adopted by many VA treatment centers because of its exceptional results.
Unlike acupuncture or shiatsu, which are generally usually used to treat physical ailments, tapping is aimed at emotional healing at the nervous system level.
